Book groups!

Over the last year or so I have been thrilled to discover book groups wanting to read The Stars We Share. I’ve had the immense privilege of participating in some of these, both in person and via Zoom, and would be very pleased to do it again. If you have a book group that would like to read or discuss The Stars We Share, please contact me and we can get it set up. Also, my team at Penguin has added our reading guide to the PRH page for the book.

Signed copies and a new essay!

If you are in the greater Baltimore-ish area, it might interest you to know that to the best of my knowledge there are signed copies of The Stars We Share at the following bookstores:

  • Curious Iguana in Frederick, MD
  • Greedy Reads (Remington) in Baltimore, MD
  • The Ivy Bookshop in Baltimore, MD
  • Politics & Prose in Washington, DC
  • Barnes & Noble in White Marsh, MD
  • Barnes & Noble in Pikesville, MD

I’ll update this as I add more! Also, FoxTale Book Shoppe in Woodstock, GA might have copies yet with signed bookplates.

In separate good news, the nice people at LitHub let me go on a bit about my research process for The Stars We Share, but also about bears, weather, and what it was like for me to write a math person.

Some updates!

Suddenly it’s May and The Stars We Share will be out later this month! With the pub date drawing nigh, I’m pleased to share some exciting things with you.

One thing is that there is going to be an audiobook read by Christian Coulson! You may know him from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, but he’s been in quite a few other things as well, including Nashville, The Hours, and The Equalizer.

Also there’s this piece about the book and my inspirations up now at the Historical Novel Society: https://historicalnovelsociety.org/new-voices/

Finally, in addition to the book still being available for pre-order (and, as you may know, pre-orders help authors and books A LOT), it’s also on order at a whole bunch of libraries — and, if they don’t have it in the catalog, most libraries offer you the chance to request they carry it.

Thanks again for your support!

Announcing Events!

With The Stars We Share hitting shelves in just a few weeks (!), I’m delighted to share my new EVENTS page. For now, they’ll be virtual events, but I look forward to “seeing” everyone and talking about the book. I hope you’ll join me!
